There are a lot of strengthening programs for muscle and a cardio-respiratory system like LT, VO2 max, endurance, power (these mostly overlap each other during workouts) that we embed into our training plans. Every week is dedicated to improving a specific quality of the muscle. So, every week is important in structured training. The development comes gradually over a period of time.
