Happy Forest – Qualification criteria

Nearly 80% of the event is held in remote region and the conditions can be harsh. For your safety, we require participants in all categories to provide us with adequate proof of your ability and current training. Please note that your entry will not be confirmed until we receive proof of qualification from you.

In the event that you do not provide proof of qualification by the deadline of Sep 20th, 2023, we will cancel your entry or downgrade you to another category. Our Race Director will evaluate each participant and make a final decision on whether to accept the entry or not. Please note that we will not refund your registration fees under any circumstances. We therefore request you to plan carefully before completing your registration and paying your fees.

Feel free to reach out to us via email in advance for any clarification before you register. From our perspective, we are simply seeking to know whether a participant is sufficiently trained to endure our event. Our Race Director’s decision is final and we request prospective participants to respect our qualification requirement for their own safety.

5k & 10k eligibility criteria – Should be 10 yrs & above(born on or before 2013), as per Aadhar card.

25k eligibility criteria – Should be 18 yrs & above(born on or before 2005), as per Aadhar card.
Any one should be completed in the last 6 months.
1) Should have done 15k or above on road(strava link or other event link).
2) Should have completed 10k on trails(other trail running event link)
3) Should have done Easter trail series TASTE OF HILLS 10k run(registration number) 

50k eligibility criteria – Should be 18 yrs & above(born on or before 2005), as per Aadhar card.
Any one should be completed in the last 6 months.
1) Should have done 35k or above on road(strava link or other event link).
2) Should have completed 25 k or above on trails(other trail running event link)
Kindly note: if the athlete does not finish 25k in 4:30 hours during 50k run, he/she will be given DNF.

We accept only ONLINE LINKS as proof of qualifications. Note that we do not accept screenshots, image files, or PDFs of Finisher certificates. Here are some examples of online links that are acceptable:

  • Link to online timing of an event (must show your category and bib)
  • Link to sites like Strava or Garmin Connect (for self-timed runs)

You can submit your qualification proof in the field(s) provided during online registration. You can also complete your registration in advance and submit your qualification proof via email by Sep 20th, 2023. This will help you reserve an entry in advance since we have limited participants.

Please note that we will not send you any reminders to submit your qualification proof. We will automatically downgrade or cancel your registration on a case-to-case basis. You will not get a partial refund for the difference in registration fees.
